Growth
Scaling up a business can be achieved with additional customers, product, or geography. All are available paths to growth. (See Processes for leveraged growth.)
A fast track to sales growth is to sell more to your current customers. They already trust you to deliver for their needs—why not more? Ask your customers what more you can do for them. You may find easy add-ons. Do your customers need services to complement products you sell? Companies often set quotas for sales without guideposts to help salespeople be successful. A fix may be to profile sales to your best clients and then pass this profile on to other customers. What are you selling to your best customers that are not being sold to other customers—go after those. Another opportunity may be geographic expansion. Realistic goals and plans are foundation to achieving growth.
